With over 20 years in the digital marketing industry, my journey has been filled with evolution and growth. Witnessing the transformation of countless tools and technologies, I have maintained a focus on the human element that remains at the heart of marketing. My ethos centers on delivering value to consumers, understanding their needs, and creatively addressing them.
My extensive professional experience spans various sectors such as the car industry, pharma and health, retail, consumer goods, and tourism. I’ve developed digital strategies and led digital transformations for diverse companies, ranging from banks and insurance providers to brick-and-mortar businesses eager to thrive in the digital economy. Whether it was working in multinational agencies as head of digital and strategy or running my own consultancy firm, my approach has consistently been holistic, balancing technology with creativity and strategic insight.
In addition to my hands-on experience, I’ve spent over 12 years as a digital marketing educator at universities and specialized schools. Here, I’ve had the privilege of teaching not only seasoned marketing professionals but also individuals from various backgrounds who are eager to acquire digital marketing skills. My belief is that digital marketing puts people first, and technology serves as the tool – a philosophy I’ve nurtured throughout my multifaceted career. It’s a perspective that I’ve applied to empower numerous individuals and organizations, guiding them to navigate the ever-evolving digital landscape successfully.
While it’s true that all marketing is digital, not all marketing is technical. Technology is an essential support system for marketing, but creativity and strategy are equally crucial. Without a holistic approach, results will remain elusive. The eternal question I’m often asked is whether one should learn marketing first and then technology, or vice versa. As a digital marketing educator at universities, I’ve encountered this challenge countless times. I firmly believe that marketers have an easier path to learning martech, as digital marketing puts people first and technology serves as the tool.
